I am a freelance illustrator with a love for melancholy and the macabre.
Hand drawn and painted, my work is grounded in the traditions of illustration and inspired by artists such as Kathe Kollwitz, David Lynch and Maurice Sendak.
I try to create a sense of mood and emotion through my drawing and through a love of cinema; a strong sense of narrative.
My work has been used and published in numerous ways, providing artwork for bands such as Keane, The Veils, Keith Caputo and for editorial use in publications such as The Guardian, The Independent, New Scientist, Onboard, The Times, and Time Out. Other outlets have included children's books, posters, animation and set design.
I'm currently working on my own illustrated books that I hope will one day see publication. |
